22.07.08 :: Mutakwa has been the inspiration to the setting up of The U Foundation. It is a village home to approximately 500 people who have a desire to help themselves. The first stage of this project was the purchase of land to enable the people of Mutakwa to have the possibility of year round food production. This is normally limited to four months of the year during rainfall.

20.07.08: The nursery schools at Mfuwe and Siankaba: Are currently housed in unsuitable buildings. Mfuwe operates from a building of half mud walls and wooden poles which hold up a thatched roof. There is no protection from the wind and rain. Siankaba is presently using a local church building.

We want to build solid brick buildings for both which include a play area, toilets, shower rooms and kitchen area giving the children at least one nutritious meal each day.
